Meet Team Team – Introducing Kim

team trib3

A bit about myself, I am originally a Leicestershire girl and I moved away from my twin sister and family to Yorkshire to study Dance at Leeds Beckett University in 2014.
My three main interests in live are DANCE. . . FITNESS. . . & all things FASHION!!!
I started dancing at the age of 9 and since then I have gained some amazing experience!  I have performed in shows, pantomimes, charity events, competitions, and exams (all passed with 80% +). Dancing just started out as a hobby but my love for it grew massively. I took dance at GCSE level, I then went to dance college and I am now study dance at University.  I never thought that I would ever leave home and go to university, but I did and I am about to graduate. . . NEXT MONTH (MAY 2017)!! Throughout my dance education I have gained some amazing practice by having the opportunity to be a part of a dance company, ‘Artus Dance Company’ and working and performing  alongside professional dance companies.

Dance has also given me amazing experience with modelling opportunities. In 2014 during a dance lecture at a dance weekend away in Butlins the professional dance choreographer came over to me out of everyone in the room and asked me to take part in a catwalk exhibition. . .  ’The British Bridal Exhibition’ in Harrogate. Doing this job was one of the best experiences I have ever done and because of this I went through a process of trying to find a modelling agency, and now I am signed with one.  I haven’t been with this agency for long but I am steadily building on my portfolio.

ONE OF MY PROUDEST DANCE MOMENTS. . .
The dance industry is very competitive and during my first year at university I started finding some auditions that I could attend to gain experience in how they work. I went along to my first audition which was for dancers to work in Disneyland Paris. I did not expect to get anywhere on my first audition as some of the rounds were something I had not studied before, such as ‘animation’ and it was also about how you looked, if your characteristics did not match any of the characters that were needed for the parades you would not make it through. But. . .  I DID!!! When I got to the final round of the day and had passed I was so excited and it was one of the happiest and proudest moments of my dance years!!! Unfortunately my studies at university did not allow me to accept the contract but I am still so proud to have been given this opportunity.

I have always had an interest in sport and fitness from a very young age. I was a part of most sports teams at school including netball and athletics. Keeping fit is something I enjoy doing whether this is in a gym or in dance and fitness session, and to keep fit now I take part in TRIB3 sessions! Fancy a TRIB3 buddy?? COME JOIN ME! Because of my love for fitness I wanted to use this and join the fitness industry so I went for the job at TRIB3 where I started working part time in January 2017 and I have loved working there every minute and  getting to know you lot!
Now that University is done I decided to go for the full time position . . . and I am so happy to say that I have been given this opportunity and I am now the head of the front of house department at the Meadowhall site!!!
DO WHAT YOU LOVE, LOVE WHAT YOU DO!
See you in and out of the studio!!!
