Be Inspired By Trib3 Regular Charlotte

I’m Charlotte Burdall, a 25 year old health and fitness blogger based in Sheffield. I started a health and fitness Instagram account last February purely to motivate myself and to keep a record of my progress which I intended to make over the next year keeping fit and healthy.

Prior to starting my instagram account ’squatsnotsweeties’ I worked out once or twice a week in the gym but my diet was atrocious and I didn’t drink nearly as much water as I should do each day. This was definitely evident in my energy levels and my constant cravings for sugary foods.

In January 2016 I decided that I needed to make a change, I had followed a lot of health and fitness motivators on social media for years and I had always wished that I could see the progress that they had had. So I began working out on a new year new me hype. I decided to follow a bikini body guide which required three resistance workouts per week, one low intensity workout (such as speed walking) and one high intensity workout (HIIT).

I was very fortunate when I started the programme that TRIB3 Eccalsal Road had just opened so I decided for my HIIT workout I would attend one TRIB3 session per week. I remember the first time that I did TRIB3 I really thought I was going to die. I was pushing my body to a level that I didn’t think was possible but as soon as the workout had ended I knew I wanted to do it again. Soon enough I was back for more the following week and now I am completing 1 – 2 sessions per week.

The best thing about TRIB3 is that it is your workout. You decide the level that you want to push yourself to and you enable yourself to improve your fitness. Combining HIIT training with resistance and low intensity training enables you to strengthen and tone your muscles at a deeper level and to improve your anaerobic capabilities which in turn enables you to push your body harder and to achieve those desirable fitness levels.

From introducing HIIT workouts into my weekly fitness regime combined with following a clean diet and keeping my body hydrated I have lost 8kg of body fat, however I have greatly improved the muscle mass in my body so it is important to understand that it is not always the number on the scale that counts – it is how you feel as an individual. You want to feel comfortable and proud in your skin. All of the trainers at TRIB3 and will always endeavour to help guide and coach you as much as they can. TRIB3 has really allowed me to push my fitness to the next levels and enabled me to continue striving towards my fitness goals.
